We are studying capacity this week in math and I found this super cute video that compares a cup to a pint, a quart, and a gallon. I think my kiddos will love it. I hope yours do too!

Super Saturday YouTube Educational Video of the Week
This weeks video deals with choosing a "just right" book by using the "IPICK" method adapted by this 2nd grade class from The Sisters: Gail Boushey and Joan Moser. Here are the words to the chant:
I = I Choose: I choose, not you, I choose my book.
P = Purpose: Why am I reading?
I = Interest: Do I like it?
C =Comprehend. Do I understand what I'm reading?
K= Know. Do I know most all the words
You can visit The Sisters website at www.the2sisters.com or www.thedailycafe.com for more information.
Enjoy the video (I love the Texas accents)!

Super Saturday YouTube Educational Video of the Week!
OK fellow bloggers, as promised, I am posting the Super Saturday YouTube Video of the Week. If you missed last Saturday's post, here is the deal: I am going to search through YouTube videos that deal with education,
and post a different video each Saturday that I think would be good to
use in teaching different subjects along with a little blip about the
video and how I think it could be used.
This weeks video deals with lab safety, a lesson we are all required to teach at the beginning of the year. This video is a rap (You know how kids love raps!) starring young teens in a science lab. I think it might be something worth considering using as a teaching tool. What a fun way to get your point across!ENJOY!!!
