Super Saturday YouTube Educational Video of the Week: The Arctic Tundra

We will be studying the Arctic Tundra in science for the rest of the year.  We begin with the habitat in general, and then have students choose animals that live in the tundra, research them, and create a life size replica to place on a huge mural in our front hallway. I found this kid-made video about the arctic tundra that gives a great description of the climate, animals, and plants.  I am going to show it to my kiddos to begin our research on this biome. Take a look!

Super Saturday YouTube Educational Video of the Week: Habitats

I found another great video about habitats!  It goes with the Houghton Miffon Science text for 3rd Grade, and is a good overall explanation of habitats. I plan on using this video along with last weeks to introduce habitats to my kiddos.  I hope you like it and have a great week!

Super Sunday YouTube Video of the Week: Habitats

Sorry this one is a little late, but we promised my daughter we would take her to the zoo to see the animals in "man-made" habitats.  In the next week or so, we are going to begin our study of habitats, or biomes.  I found this cute animated video by the Bumblemen that I think would be great to introduce the subject of habitats.  Check it out and see what you think!
