Sorry I haven't posted a video in a while.  I had a mastectomy due to breast cancer, we are selling our house, and my daughter is in All-Stars for Softball, need I say more. I am blessed that the cancer was caught early, and I do not have to have chemo or radiation, yeah!! 

My friend Dana at 3rd Grade Gridiron, shared this video on her FB page.  It's a punctuation video made by LL Cool J when he was featured on the Electric Company.  I think my kids will love it, and I hope yours do too!

Is there anyone out there who does NOT love Skppyjon Jones?  If so, shame on you!  Skippyjon is one of my favorite characters ever, and I love to read these books to my kiddos on the last week of school.  Unfortunately, I will not be at school the last week, as I have to have surgery for breast cancer.  The good news is that it looks like I caught it early.  I wanted to share with you a little sneak peak book trailer of the latest book, Skippyjon Jones: Cirque de Ole.  I hope you love him as much as I do!

Super Saturday YouTube Video of the Week: Water Safety

As our school year draws to a close and summer is upon us, I thought that water safety would be an appropriate subject for us to discuss.  As a teacher I feel responsible for my students, and since I can't be with them throughout the summer, at least I can make them aware of what they should do to stay safe around water.  With temperatures in the 90's and 100's here in San Antonio, I know that my kiddos will be around water for sure this summer. I hope you find this video useful!
