Super Saturday YouTube Educational Video of the Week: Life Cycles
This week in science we are beginning our study of life cycles. I found this cute video from www.makemegenius.com about animal life cycles. It talks about several different life cycles including humans, birds, butterflies, frogs, and mosquitoes. This web site produces free science videos for kids, so if you're needing a video for a different science concept, click on the website name to check it out. I hope you enjoy this week's video!

Super Satruday YouTube Video of the Week: Economics / Goods & Serices
I found this really cute video on economics, in particular goods and services. The gentleman uses a dog puppet named Hershel to help explain economics to a group of elementary students. The kiddos in the video seem to really enjoy it and I think my students will too. Check it out and see what you think!

Super Saturday YouTube Video of the Week: Word Problem Clue Words
Soon, we will be reviewing for the upcoming state assessments, and in Texas, our entire assessment is mostly made up of word problems. I don't know about your students, but mine always have such a hard time figuring out what operation to use. Here is a cute little rock song that talks about "clue words" that I thought my kiddos might like. It's kind of catchy and maybe it will do the trick in reminding them to pay attention to the math vocabulary because it gives you clues on what to do. Hope you like it!

Super Saturday YouTube Video of the Week: St. Patrick's Day
Top of the mornin' to ya! Here is a cute cartoon about the origins of St. Patrick's Day. It's fun, but at the same time, it gives a lot of facts about St. Patrick's life and how this holiday came to be. My kiddos absolutely loved it! I hope yours do too!

Super Saturday YouTube Video of the Week: Probability
We are studying probability this next week and I found this really cute video to introduce the vocabulary: most likely, least likely, equally likely, impossible, and certain. It's done in a western theme, so it will be perfect for us "cowpokes" here in Texas LOL! Hope you enjoy it and find it useful!
