Super Sunday's YouTube Video ot the Week: President's Day
This week's video is coming a day late as I was out of town over the weekend visiting my in-laws in Lubbock. We haven't been up there to visit in over a year, so we had to take advantage of one of the few weekends where we did not have any softball events going on (my 13 year old daughter plays softball, and my husband and I are both on the board).
Anyway.... I think you will love this cute video I found for President's Day. I plan on showing it tomorrow since we don't get off for President's Day. I hope you like it!

Super Saturday YouTube Video of the Week: Why Isn't Pluto a Planet?
In Science, we are beginning our study of the solar system this next week. I don't know about other places, but our Science textbooks are so old, they still have Pluto as a planet, and most parents of the kiddos we have, learned that Pluto was a planet (including myself), so it is sometimes difficult to explain why it isn't a planet anymore. That's where this video can help out! It gives a detailed description of why Pluto is not considered a planet anymore, and how scientists can change their conclusions as we learn more about our solar system. Take a look and see what you think!

Super Sunday YouTube Educational Video of the Week!
I know it is supposed to be Super Saturday YouTube Educational Video of the Week, but with all the posts I put up for the sales and giveaways, as well as this being Super Bowl Sunday, I thought it befitting to wait until today to post this educational video.
This next week in math we will be studying area, and last week we reviewed perimeter. It's easy to get these two mixed up, if you're not careful, and so I thought that music and pictures would help. This cute video by Math Rocks shows great examples and has a catchy tune. I plan on showing it to my kiddos on Monday. Check it out!
