Poet Trees



I got this idea to display our kiddos' poems on "Poet Trees" from Amanda Nickerson at One Extra Degree. She has this great poetry unit at her TpT Store, called Poetry the Music of Our Hearts. Go check it out!


We just finished our poetry unit and I thought this was a great way to incorporate it into a holiday display. My team member Brynna helped cut the trees and staple them to the wall (she is really tall) and Heather painted the beautiful Christmas balls, the signs, and made the star toppers. I am really short, so I stapled the trunks, and of course our wonderfully talented 3rd graders created the poems you see hanging on the trees.

We have three trees, one for Haiku, one for Acrostic, and one for our Diamond poems.
