My Classroom Finally Finished (as finished as it will be this year...)

These are my class rules that I made to match my theme.





Here is a "Kids at Work" sign I bought to go with my theme.



This is the banner I made to go with my PV lesson. I have sold a lot of this unit at my TpT store. The unit is called Place Value Safari.

I had my hubby paint these little tool boxes to keep my reward coins in. Each one is numbered, so I have Table 1, Table 2, and Table 3.




Here you can see my calendar with my measuring tape numbers, my birthday board, my Lucky 7 reading strategy poster, my AR chart, and my hanging pockets that I keep papers and things my kiddos might need (like nurse passes, reading logs, etc...





This is my door that I am going to hang great work on. I used my poster from my Construction Class Set and a boarder I bought that says "Kids at Work!"

My New Shop at Teachers Pay Teachers

I just opened a new shop at TpT. I have been working on this for quite some time. I am starting small with 3 products, but I'm working on more. I just downloaded 3 units last night. Here is a preview of my Construction Themed Class Set: Kids at Work. This is a great theme, especially if your school is under renovations like ours was last year, or just because it's cute. Let me know what you think.

I Did It!!!

OMG I can't believe I actually did it! I created my own blog button and managed to put it in my blog and IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! OK, I should also give credit to my 11 year old daughter who helped me (especially w/Paint). I am so excited. I will tell you how I did it step by step.

Step 1 I went to EHow How Add a Blog Button

Step 2 I created a Blog Button Design in Power Point (you could also use Word), copied it to Paint, saved it as a JPEG, and posted the pic in my blog. (Be sure when you post it that it is the actual size you want the button to be).

Step 3 I went to A Heart for Home Blog Button w/Text Box Code to get the actual HTML code (It was actually easiest, otherwise you have to change all the bracket signs to arrows). Also be sure that the http:// is only there once, otherwise it won't work(sometimes when you copy and paste it shows up again).

Step 4 I pasted the HTML as a Gadget and put my website name, URL, and my pic URL in the HTML gibberish as instructed.

Oh Boy 4th Grade is hosting a fun linky party about what we are all currently doing. The page she created could also be used as a fun writing prompt for your students. I just got a new blog design from Leejou blogs and she referred me to Michele Underwood at Two Peas in a Bucket so I could purchase the matching digital scrapbook items to match.
